Rediscovering Your God-Given Style: Embracing Authenticity in a World of Trends
Growing up, my appearance felt like a battleground. I constantly wrestled with who I was based on how I looked and what others expected of me. I chased after the latest trends and sought approval, measuring my worth by what was “in” at the moment, rather than embracing the unique style God designed for me. Now, it’s about rediscovering your style and understanding what truly reflects who you are.

Can I be honest with you? …I used to believe that my value was determined by the clothes I wore.
Can you relate?
It was a difficult process of rediscovering my true style.
I found myself trapped in the cycle of comparing my wardrobe—and my entire identity—to what society deemed fashionable.
I remember wondering, “What’s wrong with me? Why don’t I feel confident in who I am?”
The enemy used my love for fashion as a tool, pushing me to dress for others’ acceptance, leaving me feeling empty and insecure.
Galatians 1:10 has always challenged me: Am I now trying to please men, or God?"
For years, I leaned towards pleasing people rather than reflecting the beauty of the Creator’s design for me. I mimicked trends, dimming my light in an effort to blend in.
But the more I did, the more I lost sight of my unique identity—a light that God intended to shine brightly. ✨
This is when I realized I needed to focus on rediscovering my style.
One day, overwhelmed by my insecurities, I turned to God and asked Him why I felt uncomfortable in my own skin, especially in the way I dressed.
Embracing the vulnerability, He revealed something life-changing: I wasn’t dressing for myself.
I had become so focused on what others expected that I forgot to honor the unique style and taste He had given me.
I was so caught up in imitation that I lost sight of my own personal style and interests.
It wasn’t just about dressing modestly or following the latest trends—it was about being true to who I am.
Through His gentle correction, and after a lot of inner work and healing,
I learned that my insecurity stemmed from trying to be someone I wasn’t. I realized that real confidence comes from embracing the individuality that God has woven into me. In essence, this was about rediscovering my true style.
His Word reminds us in Psalm 139:14:
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
This journey of rediscovery isn’t just about fashion—it’s about reclaiming our worth and our identity in Him. It’s about stepping away from the crowd and choosing to shine in the identity He’s given us.
When we stop chasing after trends and start celebrating our unique God-given style, we experience a freedom that no amount of imitation can offer.
So here’s to the journey of rediscovering our God-given style—of embracing our uniqueness, walking confidently in the truth of who we are, and allowing our true beauty to shine through.

Let’s commit to dressing not for the approval of others, but for the glory of God, who crafted us with purpose and love.
I invite you to join me in this journey. Let’s celebrate our authentic selves, reclaim our worth in Christ, and step boldly into the freedom of being uniquely and wonderfully made. Let’s begin rediscovering your true style together.
